A long-awaited "1944" video song, which is about the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, by the Ukrainian singer of the Crimean Tatar origin Jamala has been posted to YouTube. Yesterday, at a press conference the singer told this was the hardest video to shoot in her life:

It didn’t stop raining, fog covered everything, even a strong wind could not disperse it, it was terribly cold. It seemed that nature itself has decided to arrange a test for us, she said.

The director and choreographer-director of the video is Anatoly Sachivko, operator - Nikita Kuzmenko. The same team worked on the other Jamala’s clip "Confused".

The song "1944" was released in the homonymic album on June, 10 in Europe and July, 10 in the United States. The album includes 12 tracks (8 in English and 3 in the Ukrainian language). The album was released by the world's largest record label Universal Music Group. The company Republic Records was involved in the release in the United States.
