Ukrainian documentary "School #3" won the Grand Prix in the Generation 14plus competition at the 67th Berlin International Film Festival, "Tabor prod." studio reported on the page in Facebook.
“Film School # 3 received the Grand Prix in the nomination "Full meter" of Generation 14+ competition program! Glory to Ukraine!"
The film represents the joint work of Lisa Smith, Georg Genaux and Natalia Vorozhbit.
The characters of the film are teenagers from the town of Nikolayevka in Donbas. In the summer of 2014 the town was severely damaged during the fighting for the liberation of Slavyansk. 13-year-old boys and girls survived the war and agreed to talk about their lives, future plans, dreams. The film consists of their explicit monologues.
The official press release of the movie says:
“The period featured in the film is the boundary between war and peace, childhood and adulthood. These children want to be heard, and they have something to say. This is a film about friendship, first love, plans for the future.”
