In the annexed Crimea, 494 families were refused monthly payments due to the birth or adoption of the first child, the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Crimea reported.

From January 1 to November 1, 3,576 families applied to the "Social Services" of Crimea for benefits in connection with the birth or adoption of a child. Of these, 3 032 families will receive money.

The allowance amounts 10 thousand 487 rubles.

The "Ministry" explained that in order to receive assistance, the income of the family should not exceed 150 per cent of the subsistence minimum of the working population.

Thus, a family whose income exceeds 47 thousand 853 rubles (about 729.7 USD) will not receive money for a child.

Also, Russian citizenship is a prerequisite for receiving payments.

QHA reported that in Crimea wage arrears at enterprises reached 31.5 million rubles. The biggest problems with payment of salaries are observed in Feodosia and Simferopol. Most of the debts are at the enterprises of Minstroy (16.6% of the total), Ministry of Transport (8.6%), as well as the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of the Crimea (8.1%).
