Kazakhstan has delivered humanitarian aid to the regions in eastern Ukraine, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's press service has reported.

On Saturday, representatives of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received foodstuffs worth KZT 69.728 million, including tinned meat, sugar, buckwheat and vegetable oil, according to a Kazakh foreign ministry press release.

The delivery of the humanitarian aid took place in Severodonetsk in Luhansk region, in the presence of deputy heads of Luhansk regional state administration and international organizations such as ICRC, UNHCR, IRD and others.

According to an order from Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the humanitarian aid consisting solely of foodstuffs, was worth over $380,000 and was sent to Ukraine's south-east regions which were in need.
