During the first quarter of 2016, 7630 people died in Crimea, according to Krymstat.
Compared to 2015 figures for the same period, this number has decreased by 167 persons. At the same time, the birth rate has also improved slightly - 5460 children were born in the first three months of 2016 that is 25 more than last year.
According to the data, the natural decline in the population growth in Crimea is 2170 people. The mortality rate is still very high - 16.1 per a thousand population that is almost twice higher than the average world figure, which is 8.6 per thousand.
