Over six months of 2018, profits of Crimean enterprises decreased by more than 80.9% compared to the same period in 2017, the Kremlin-controlled Territorial body of Federal Statistics service in Crimea Krymstat informs.
Reportedly, according to the results of activity in January-June 2018, profitable organizations, which accounted for 57.8% in the total number of enterprises on the peninsula, produced 8652.4 million rubles of profit.
“In comparison with January-June of 2017 the profit decreased by 80.9%. 42.2% of enterprises operated at a loss,” reads the statement of the Krymstat.
According to the department, a significant proportion of loss-making enterprises are observed in the field of information and communication, culture, sports, leisure and entertainment (80.0%), health and social services (75.6%), hotels and catering (73 ,5%).
The largest losses were made by the organizers of hotel and catering activities (26.0% of the total losses in the Crimea), health and social services (21.7%), industrial enterprises (21.4%).
Earlier, it was reported that from the beginning of 2018 the index of industrial production in the occupied Crimea fell by 7.1% compared to the same period in 2017.
