Representatives of the occupation law enforcement forces detained the Deputy Head of the Kerch City Administration Oleg Shevchenko in the framework of a criminal investigation into extorting bribes, the Head of the Kerch City Administration Vladimir Podlipentsev told the Crimea Inform news agency.
“The detained deputy is Oleg O. Shevchenko. He was arrested at his office today. I do not know the details. There has been no official statement by law enforcement officers, who are carrying out the operative-investigative activities,” he said.
The so-called Prime Minister of Crimea Sergey Aksenov commented on the detention, adding that the official was arrested red-handed while receiving a bribe of 380 thousand rubles.
“Thanks to law enforcement agencies for their good work. Frankly speaking, it’s a balm for the soul, Aksenov said.
In early November, Sevastopol businessman Alexander Stefanishin pointed out that the construction of the Kerch bridge is accompanied with a large scale theft; for example, one third of the raw material disappears on the way to production.
