The Ukrainian Embassy in Turkey has explained what caused a fire in an office on the 4-strorey building’s second floor.
“For reasons beyond our control, repeated power outages occurred in the Embassy’s building throughout the day on October 7.
At about 9.30 p.m. local time, a fire broke out in one of the offices, which was put out by the Embassy’s personnel and a team of Turkish firefighters. The fire was most likely caused by a short circuit which occurred due to multiple power outages, “ said the Embassy’s press service.
No people are reported to have been injured in the accident. The embassy is currently operating under normal conditions.
