In a car accident near the Russian city of Novgorod, five Ukrainian citizens were killed.
The official representative of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasily Kirilich informed on the accident, according to Ukrinform publication.
“The Consulate General of Ukraine in St. Petersburg reports that an accident occurred on the morning of May 25 in the vicinity of the Veliky Novgorod city. The minivan with the Ukrainian registration collided with a truck. According to preliminary information, five Ukrainian citizens were killed as a result of the clash.”
According to Kirilich, the Consulate in St. Petersburg is taking measures to obtain full information about the accident from the law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation, and the Consul is ready to go to the scene of the accident.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported about a head-on collision, the truck driver was not injured.
Earlier, on May 18 in the south-west of Turkey a minibus with tourists from Ukraine turned over.
