Russian Embassy in Damascus, Syria was fired, the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported, according to UNN.

"A mine which, by happy coincidence, did not explode fell in the courtyard of the complex of the Russian Embassy administrative buildings. The second one fell in the immediate area of its territory. Engineers were involved in demining the ammunition,” the diplomatic mission report says.

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that the attack was committed by those who are "not interested in a peaceful settlement of the Syrian conflict."

Earlier QHA reported that December 19 the Russian Ambassador Andrei Karlov was attacked in Turkey during his speech at the opening of the gallery at the Center for Contemporary Art.
