Saudi prince was arrested at the international airport of Beirut for attempting to export 2 tons of drugs, TASS reports with reference to local media.

“According to electronic version of ‘Al-Diyar’ newspaper, the prince Abdel Mohsen Bin Walid Bin Abdulaziz is the son of the governor of the Saudi Province of Hail. According to the edition, 40 packages of Captagon weighing 2 tons had been found and confiscated during inspection,” - the statement says.

Just a reference: Captagon is a super potent amphetamine, which increases physical endurance. The drug is sold in large quantities to the Gulf countries (mainly to Saudi Arabia) through Lebanese ports.

The Lebanese security forces are fighting against drug dealers and regularly detain the Captagon traffickers. However, they have arrested the prince of the Saudi ruling family for the first time.
