In France, the identity of the driver, who ran a truck into a crowd of people in Nice, was established: He turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of Nice Tunisian origin, The Telegraph reports.

A truck drove into the crowd on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, where people gathered to watch fireworks in honor of the national holiday - Bastille Day. The truck was moving at high speed. According to witnesses, the driver was driving in zigzags, thus increasing the number of victims.

According to media reports, the driver shouted "Allahu Akbar" before police shot him.
