The Kremlin-controlled health department of occupied Sevastopol ordered the suspension of the Center for the rehabilitation of disabled children with mental and psychological development disorders.
The center will not work until the end of 2018, as the "state task" was reduced by half.
The Chairman of the Sevastopol branch of the All-Russian Association of parents of children with disabilities Yelena Vasechkina stated that 480 children turned to the center last year, and this year "state task" was reduced to 240 children. In this case, more than 260 children with disabilities who had undergone rehabilitation, have already exceeded the "limit".
Vasechkina stressed that the waiting list at the Center was scheduled for several months ahead, and in case the center stops helping children during six months, by January 1, the queue would be even greater.
Reportedly, more than 600 children in Sevastopol have psycho-neurological diseases, such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, autism spectrum disorders, and others.
Previously, in the beginning of June residents of occupied Sevastopol came to a rally against a so-called government. The participants of the action stated that "authorities" take away the land plots issued by Ukraine from the townspeople.
