Against the background of the World Cup, reprisals continue against Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in Russia and in the occupied Crimea
On June 27, within the framework of the "Find & Free" campaign outside the Russian Embassy in Kyiv, the action "Putin is playing with human lives" was held, QHA correspondent reports.
According to the head of the board of the NGO "CrimeaSOS" Tamila Tasheva, this is the 24th action. This time it is timed to the football Mundial in the Russian Federation.
The organizers of the action held the performance, during which "Putin" played an impromptu match with innocent people, in which their life and freedom were the stake.
“We showed how Putin plays with the hearts of people. He kidnaps people, imprisons them. We believe that this practice should be stopped," Tasheva said.
At the end of the symbolic match, the judge of the international court approached the president of the Russian Federation.
Thus, the participants of the action reminded that for all crimes the Kremlin will sooner or later bear responsibility.
During the action, the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Akhtem Chiygoz, recalled the two-faced position of FIFA, which holds world-class competitions against the backdrop of massive repression in Russia and the Crimea.
Actions demanding to stop reprisals against Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars in Russia and the Crimea are held outside the Russian embassy in Kyiv for more than two years on the 27th of each month.
