Ukraine demands the Russian Federation to immediately release Ukrainian film-maker Oleg Sentsov, who has been on a hunger strike for a hundred days.

The corresponding statement was made by the Spokesperson of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Mariana Betsa on Twitter.

Earlier, Dmitry Peskov, the Press Secretary of Russian President Vladimir Putin, commented on the possibility of pardoning the prisoner of the Kremlin Oleg Sentsov saying that Sentsov is charged under the article “Terrorism” and this fact should not be overlooked. He also called to adhere to the norms of Russian legislation.

Previously, four UN Special Rapporteurs urged the Russian Federation to "immediately and unconditionally" release Ukrainian film director, Kremlin prisoner Oleg Sentsov. The statement of UN representatives says that Sentsov's life is "in imminent danger."
