Turkish authorities announced the dismissal of 28 Mayors of the provinces of South-eastern Turkey, reported CNNTürk. The removals are coming along with the state of emergency and in accordance with the law. New government’s trustees are taking up offices.

The main reason for layoffs is either suspicion of having links with Kurdish terrorists or belonging to a terrorist organization FETÖ that staged an attempted military coup as of July 15.

Small protest rallies were held in the Turkish cities of Hakkari and Suruç due to a wave of dismissals. Still, the law enforcement officials managed to break them up.

Recently the Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has reported on a new wave of layoffs.

Today, the Kurdish terrorists have committed an act of terrorism in the Turkish province of Van. According to recent reports, 47 people have been injured.
