Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, People's Deputy of Ukraine Refat Chubarov believes that when developing the future law on collaboration, one must take into account the fact that it should provide for individual, not collective responsibility, he said yesterday, March 8, on the air of Channel 5.
According to Chubarov, the purpose of this law should not be the task to include as many people to be punished as possible.
“We need to record the situation regarding the level of responsibility, the level of involvement in the collaboration.
Because there are very different levels. It's one thing when a person becomes a member of the government of collaborators, and it's quite another thing when people perform work at their posts, for example, the head of the school or head physician," Chubarov said.
In his opinion, when developing such a law, "it’s important to be careful".
“It should not make all those who are in the occupation feel guilty. The vast majority of people in the Crimea should be calm, waiting for the return of Ukraine," Chubarov stressed.
Recall, earlier Chubarov told about the forced passportization of the Russian Federation rin the annexed Crimea.
