KYIV (QHA) -

Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov spoke about the requirements for candidates for the post of president of Ukraine, which can guide the Ukrainians in the elections. He published the requirements for the candidates on his Facebook page.

"Despite the unbearable heat, hardcore fans of some presidential candidates who have already took the "early start" position in future elections, are desperately trying to find out among themselves which of their candidates is more intolerant of the current president, Petro Poroshenko," he wrote.

According to Chubarov, Ukrainians will prefer the candidate who: publicly declares Putin an international criminal and will seek an international court over him; will indicate that one of the main tasks as president will be the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine; will continue to integrate Ukraine into NATO and the EU; will be able to mobilize Ukrainians to oppose Russian aggression and liberate the occupied territories; will support changes in the Constitution of Ukraine, according to which the source of the special status of the Crimea within Ukraine is the right of the Crimean Tatar people to self-determination as the indigenous people of Ukraine.

Reportedly, more than 15% of Ukrainians are ready to cast their vote in the presidential election of 2019 for the current president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. However, the leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, is leading in the central and part of the western regions of Ukraine, and the level of support for her, according to sociologists, is more or less even in all regions of the country and reaches about 18%. At the same time, 30% of respondents are ready to support Tymoshenko in the second round of election, while 23% would support Poroshenko.
