Ukraine should continue to consistently support the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova, whose sovereignty has been violated as a result of the direct intervention of Moscow, Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars, posted on his Facebook page.

“The Russia’s occupation of Crimea and a real threat to the future of its indigenous people  (Crimean Tatars), as well as over 10 thousand deaths of Ukrainian citizens, who lived in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, have turned me into a hard pragmatist ...

... When I was asked today to express my opinion as for the aggravated situation around Nagorno-Karabakh - Whose position is closer to me: Azerbaijan or Armenia - I replied curtly and angrily: "Just as well you could ask me about my attitude towards Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Syria, Cuba, Nicaragua, Sudan, North Korea and Bolivia, which voted together with Armenia in support of the Russian occupation of Crimea,” Chubarov wrote.

The head of the Mejlis said that Ukraine should support those countries, whose sovereignty was violated due to Russian aggression.

The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated dramatically in the night of Saturday, April 2. Armenian and Azerbaijani sides have accused each other of the offensive with heavy weapons. Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan announced about the death of 18 Armenian soldiers during the attacks while Azerbaijani authorities announced the deaths of 12 soldiers and one civilian. Two civilians, including a 12-year-old boy, are reported to have been killed in Nagorno-Karabakh.
