Petro Poroshenko expects decisions of the UN Court in the Hague will allow to stop pressure on ethnic Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, as well as to lift the ban of the Mejlis in the ARC.

The President hopes that the supply of weapons from Russia to the Ukrainian occupied territories will be also prohibited under decision of the UN Court.

Poroshenko expressed his hope that, despite the long period of the case consideration, a quick decision will be made on it.

Today, March 7, the International Court of Justice in the Hague continues the judicial process of Ukraine against Russia. According to the regulations, at the hearing on Tuesday the floor will be given to the Russian side.

Earlier, the US Charge d'Affaires at the OSCE Kate Burns spoke at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council in Vienna and reported on the human rights violations in the annexed Crimea, recalling the systematic discrimination of ethnic Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars, in particular, drawing attention to very limited access to the study of Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages, the ban of Mejlis and other people's assemblies.
