September 26, the Ukrainian delegation consisting of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko and the leader of the Crimean Tatar people, the Presidential Commissioner of Ukraine for Crimean Tatar People Mustafa Dzhemilev was received at the Ministry of Justice of Turkey.
The Ambassador of Ukraine in Turkey Andrei Sibiga, who was also a member of the Ukrainian delegation, reported on the meeting on Twitter.
The main subject of the meeting was legal interaction and cooperation in the prevention and cessation of Russia's permanent violations of international maritime law. Yuriy Lutsenko stressed that the construction of the Kerch bridge by the Russian Federation, an aggressor country, is illegal, restricts navigation and negatively affects the ecology of the Black Sea region.
Earlier, after visiting the Mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and laying flowers to the creator of the Turkish Republic, the Ukrainian delegation held a meeting with the Attorney General of Turkey Yuksel Kocaman. The talks were dedicated to counteraction to terrorism and extremism, interaction at the level of regional prosecutor's offices of the two states, illegal maritime links with the occupied Crimea.
Previously, QHA reported, that the working visit of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko and the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev to the Republic of Turkey began on September 26. Within the visit the Ukrainian delegation is supposed to meet also with representatives of the Crimean Tatar Culture and Mutual Aid Society in Turkey (Dernek).
