Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Turkish people continue to receive congratulations on the adoption of constitutional amendments at the referendum on April 16.

The leader of the Crimean Tatar people, the Presidential Commissioner for the Crimean Tatar People Affairs, the Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev also joined the congratulations and wrote a congratulatory appeal to the President of Turkey:

The constitutional referendum, held with a turnout of 85%, has once again demonstrated patriotism and faith in the democracy of the Turkish people to the whole world.

On behalf of the entire Crimean Tatar people, I congratulate you and the entire Turkish people on the adoption of constitutional amendments.

Earlier, QHA reported that on April 16, Turkey held the seventh country's referendum in its history, where citizens voted for or against the introduction of 18 amendments to the constitution.

According to the unofficial data of the Supreme Electoral Council of Turkey, 51.41% supported the constitutional reforms, and 48.59% of voters were against.
