The Embassy of Ukraine in France calls for increased pressure on the Russian Federation to release journalist Roman Sushchenko and all illegally detained Ukrainian political prisoners, according to the statement published by the embassy on Facebook.
The statement notes that today, September 12, the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation is to take a decision on the appeal of Sushchenko.
“Consolidating international efforts must continue on increasing pressure on the Russian Federation to immediately release all Ukrainian political prisoners.”
Diplomats also published drawings made by Sushchenko in a Russian prison.
Earlier, lawyer Mark Feygin said that the appeal in case of a Ukrainian journalist, a prisoner of the Kremlin Roman Sushchenko will be considered in September this year.

A special correspondent for the Ukrainian Ukrinform news agency in France, Roman Sushchenko, was arrested in Moscow on September 30, 2016 and charged with espionage in the interests of the Ukrainian state. He is kept in the Moscow prison Lefortovo.
