Verkhovna Rada Vice Speaker Irina Gerashchenko called on the parliament to approve an appeal to the OSCE in connection with the illegal election of the Russian president in the Crimea – the occupied Ukrainian territory. She made a corresponding statement during the meeting of the Conciliation Council.

“Together with the "Opora" bloc we have prepared a draft statement of the Verkhovna Rada to the OSCE, to the current OSCE president. I will ask Andriy Parubiy and the faction Chairmen to adopt it this week, because this report will be confirmed literally in the nearest days. And we must firmly react to this,” she said.

Gerashchenko emphasized that observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) for the second time did not indicate in their report the holding of illegal elections of the Russian president in the occupied Crimea.

“I would like to pay attention to the situation, on the rigged elections of president Putin in Crimea. Unfortunately, the second time the well-respected international organization that monitors elections (the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), in its report on the presidential elections in Russia, did not say a single word about rigged elections in the Crimea, thus "creeping" legalization of these rigged elections takes places.”

Earlier, the Ukrainian site The Peacemaker included into its base "international observers" who arrived in the occupied Crimea for illegal elections of the president of Russia. The base included observers from Cyprus, Italy and Sweden.
