Russia's military actions in Syria fueling the conflict continuation have taken hundreds of lives in a few days, reports The Telegraph citing the UK Defense Minister Michael Fallon.

- Russia continues the conflict, and civilians continue to die. The RAF launch attacks in accordance with clear rules of engagement. For a year they have struck at targets in Iraq, and still there have been no civilian casualties, said Fallon.

He also voiced concerns about possible clashes with the Russian aircraft in the Syrian airspace.

- I am afraid of that. One has only to look at recent events - documented violations of the Turkish airspace, which is a NATO member. There is a risk of accidents, incidents which would only exacerbate tensions, said the UK Defense Minister.

The British politician also added that the Russian military intervention in Syria should not distract Britain from its main goal - the fight against the "Islamic state."
