At a joint press conference with the Ukrainian President, German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated that the long-awaited ceasefire in the Donbas region did not come, and Minsk agreements are practically not being implemented, the source informed.
Merkel noted the importance of cooperation on this issue with the newly elected President of France Emmanuel Macron, since France, as known, is one of the participants in the negotiations in the "Normandy format".
“Meetings in the Normandy format will continue. And we will talk about a possible meeting of the three Presidents and the Chancellor in the future," she concluded.
Petro Poroshenko once again stressed that Ukraine does not see any alternative to the Minsk agreements and insists on their full implementation.
