Mustafa Jemilev, Leader of Crimean Tatars, and Refat Chubarov, Mejlis Chairman, have visited the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine today, October 12, to offer their condolences over the terror attacks in Ankara.

During their visit, Mustafa Jemilev and Refat Chubarov were accompanied by Oner Kyrymly, Mejlis Deputy Chairman, Ismet Yuksel, Advisor to Mejlis Chairman, and Gayana Yuksel, Mejlis Member.

It was reported earlier that a powerful blast, which occurred during an antiterrorist rally in Ankara on October 10, killed 97 people.

The Crimean Tatar leaders have signed the book of condolences at the Turkish Embassy.

During a meeting with the members of the delegation, Yonet Tezel, Turkey’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, have reiterated Turkey’s commitment to a democratic vector of development as its top priority.

“No acts of terror can cause Turkey to abandon its democratic choice and succumb to their perpetrators,” said the Ambassador.
