The law to ratify the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union, previously supported by the Senate, was signed by the King of the Netherlands Willem-Alexander, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko informed at a press conference in Kharkiv, as cited by "European Pravda".
Poroshenko specified that Willem-Alexander signed the agreement on June 1, and the deadline for filing a possible appeal expired on June 8.
“It is at this time that the final procedures for ratifying the fateful Association Agreement are under way ... And today we are waiting for the publication and a formal decision of the Council of the European Union, which will complete the ratification process.”
Earlier QHA reported that on May 30, the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union was supported by the Netherlands Senate.
The Netherlands became the last country to ratify the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Starting from June 11, Ukrainian citizens will be officially allowed to travel to the EU countries without visas.
