Mariana Betsa, Spokesperson of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly criticized the persecution of the Crimean Tatars in the light of the recent searches by Russian security forces in the occupied peninsula.
According to the Spokesperson, the occupants intensify the pressure on the Crimean Tatars.
“Russia creates "conditions" for forced deportation. We again express our protest to Russian Federation,” she stated on her page in Twitter.

It is worth noting that Federal Security Service officers conducted searches in the homes of Crimean Tatars yesterday, on November 16. The search took place at the home of Lenara Mustafayeva, and her husband Mustafa. Lenara is a primary school teacher as well as the teacher of the Crimean Tatar language.
Mustafa Mustafayev was taken to Sevastopol after the search.
The security forces also searched the house of Adzher - Mustafa's mother in Pushkino village.
