The invaders in the Crimea are not sure that they will be able to provide a high voter turnout during the presidential elections in Russia and started collecting labor migrants to vote in the guise of Crimeans, according to the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov.
"They are already carrying out work to mobilize labor migrants, collecting people who work at the terminal of the Simferopol airport, on the construction of the Tavrida military road, people of, say, non-Slavic appearance. They will also be used in the elections to say that these are local people who came to the polls," he said.
Chubarov stressed that the Crimean media controlled by the Kremlin are already preparing news stories for the election day.
"According to the information we receive, in the morning they will show the image of people happily coming to the polling stations, in such a good mood," he said.
According to him, the occupiers are preparing to shoot a video with representatives of different nationalities in national costumes, who would come to the elections and legitimize them.
"They will show people in national costumes, Bulgarians, Germans, and here are the Crimean Tatars, Ukrainians in embroidered shirts are also here, these are the images that are being prepared," the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people said.
Earlier, Chubarov stated that the Russian occupation authorities in the Crimea are trying to increase the turnout in the presidential elections, in various ways including, from the Crimean Tatars. According to him, in order to drive the Crimean Tatars to the polling stations, the invaders will engage special services.
The head of the Russian Federation Putin has postponed presidential elections of Russia on March, 18. This day is considered the day of annexation of the Crimea, when the Russian Federation signed the so-called agreement on the accession of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia.
