The North Atlantic treaty Organization (NATO) has sent reconnaissance planes to the southeastern borders of Ukraine to monitor situation there, press service of the Ukraine's mission under NATO said.
"In order to enhance control over the situation in the regions of Ukraine, NATO has launched AWACS planes," press service of the mission said.
At the same time, AWACS planes will fly only over the territory of NATO countries.
NATO considers such a decision adequate and responsible measure under earlier decision to intensify assessment of Ukrainian crisis' impact on security of NATO countries.
To recall, NATO condemns military aggression of Russia against Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

On March 1, 2014, the Council of Federation of Russia allowed Russian President Vladimir Putin to use Armed Forces on the territory of Ukraine.
