Spanish frigate Almirante Juan de Borbon, equipped with anti-missile defense system Aegis and a Canadian frigate St. Johns have entered the Black Sea. According to the Naval Forces of Romania, the ships will take part in NATO exercises "Sea Shield 2017", which will be held from 1 to 10 February in the eastern part of the Black Sea, ZN.UA reported, referring to the Defense Ministry of Romania.
In the near future the US Navy destroyer Porter, equipped with a missile defense system Aegis, is expected to enter the Black Sea as well to take part in the exercises.
The modern missile destroyer of the Royal Navy of Great Britain ‘Diamond’ was also directed to the Black Sea to head the NATO naval group.
Previously, ships carrying the American military equipment, tanks and shells arrived in the city Port of Bremerhaven in Germany.
Reportedly, about 3.5 thousand military of 4th Infantry Division Carson Fort, Colorado to be transported in Europe apart from the equipment.
