The US and Russian Presidents Barack Obama and Vladimir Putin held a closed meeting during the summit of "Big Twenty" in China, reported TASS.

According to the press-secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, the parties discussed the situation in Syria and Ukraine. The meeting lasted longer than it was planned and the joint work will continue.

The talks were also attended by the US Secretary of State John Kerry, Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov and Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov.

As QHA reported earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a closed two-hour meeting at the summit of Big Twenty (G-20) in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
