The International Court of Justice of the United Nations called on the Russian Federation to fully implement the Minsk agreements, according to the press office of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
“The UN International Court called on Russia to fully implement the Minsk agreements. This means that Russia is a party to the Minsk agreements, and not an intermediary, as they initially tried to represent themselves. This recognition, I stress, is not a political assessment. For the first time, a legal assessment was made, which is extremely important for us," the President said.
Earlier, QHA reported that on April 19 the International Court of Justice agreed to introduce restrictive measures against Russia over violation of the Convention on racial discrimination for the protection of national minorities in the annexed Crimea.
At the same time, the court refused to take temporary measures against the Russian Federation for violating the convention on prohibiting the financing of terrorism.
