Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars and Ukrainian MP, had a meeting with Conrad Turner, Counselor for Public Affairs, and Brian Campbell, Human Rights Officer.

During the meeting, Refat Chubarov talked about a difficult situation Crimean Tatars are now facing spiritually, culturally and economically following Russia’s annexation of Crimea in February 2014.

Special emphasis was placed on human rights violations in Crimea, national education problems and language preservation, as well as Crimean Tatar medias some of which were forced to leave the peninsula.
