Not only two states - Michigan and Wisconsin – were affected in Russia's attempts to influence the course of presidential elections in the US through a campaign in social networks and propaganda.

According to Richard Burr, the Chairman of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, the entities connected with Russia affected not only by two states, as it is most often mentioned in the press.

"There were a lot more states," said the Republican.

Reportedly, the US President Donald Trump, who is suspected of cooperation with the Russian special services, totally denied his ties with the Kremlin in an interview with a major American publication.

Earlier, the United States introduced a number of sanctions against the Russian Federation over its attempts to intervene in the US presidential election. Later, the press reported that Russian president Vladimir Putin saw no future in his relationship with Trump. Furthermore, a number of diplomatic offices were closed in both states and the number of diplomats was reduced as well.
