Russia banned the circulation of vessels in the Kerch Strait water area from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 9. In this regard, Ukraine intends to appeal to the court over the imposed restrictions.
The imposed ban on navigation does not apply to every vessel. An exception was made for the ships of the Russian Navy and the FSB of Russia, as well as for vessels engaged in the construction of the Crimean bridge.
The ban on navigation is connected with the installation of arched spans of the Crimean bridge. Shipping will be suspended at least twice for 12 hours and twice for 72 hours.
Previously, in early May, the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea opened a criminal investigation into the violation of environmental security during the construction of the Kerch bridge between the territory of Russia and the Crimea annexed by it.
