(QHA) -

The Russian Federation considers that the proposal to introduce peacekeeping force to the Donbas questions the intention of the Ukrainian government to observe Minsk agreements.

Russia's permanent representative to the UN Vitaly Churkin announced, according to RIA Novosti.

"The Minsk agreements were reached Feb. 12. The Donetsk and Luhansk Republics will create their own militia according to these agreements. The OSCE will monitor the demarcation line area. If some other arrangements are immediately put forward, the question arises whether the Minsk agreements are going to be performed,"- Churkin said.

Churkin’s announcement comes as Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko at the NSDCE meeting proposed to introduce EU peacekeepers in the Donbas.
