The Russian Federation intends to avoid the implementation of the UN court decision on preliminary measures, recruiting to the "authorities" the Crimean Tatar ex-officials who left their posts following the occupation of the Crimea, the Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov reported on Facebook.

“It became known that in the past two weeks the Russian occupation authorities suddenly became interested in fate of a number of prominent Crimean Tatar officials who had abandoned their posts after Russian invasion of the Crimea. They have soul-saving conversations with them, suggest returning to the "state" service, promising a special position and the authorities’ good graces.”

According to the Head of the Mejlis, Russia is trying to establish credibility among the representatives of the Crimean Tatar people.

Earlier, April 19, the International Court of Justice of the United Nations approved the introduction of restrictive measures against Russia over violating the Convention on racial discrimination for the protection of national minorities in the annexed Crimea, in particular, obliged the RF to resume the activities of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
