Ernesto Guevara, the son of the famous Latin American revolutionary and supporter of the communist ideas Che Guevara, said that the Crimea is a Russian territory. He made a corresponding statement to the journalists during his visit to Simferopol, occupied by Russia.

“We [the Cubans - Ed.] have information. We know that Crimea is Russian, that Crimea is Russia," he said.

Also, during the opening of an exhibition in Simferopol presenting archival photo documents devoted to his father, Ernesto Guevara noted that he is not afraid of American sanctions.

“I can be imposed any sanctions. I am not interested in senseless ideas of the United States, I just do not pay attention to them," he said.

Earlier it was reported that in Russia they would check the extremism of the words of the TV presenter and former presidential candidate Ksenia Sobchak about the status of the Crimea. Sobchak admitted that the peninsula was taken away from Ukraine.

Earlier, Sobchak stated the necessity to hold a referendum in the occupied Crimea, since it is simply impossible to give the Crimea to Ukraine. She noted that not only Crimean residents, but also residents of Ukraine and Russia should take part in the referendum.

She also believes that the poverty of Russians is directly connected to the annexation of the Crimea in 2014. According to her, people do not see this connection yet.

Later, Sobchak said that residents of the occupied Crimea became hostages of Russia.
