Syrian rebel group are calling on other Middle Eastern countries to unite in the struggle against Iran, and Russia, whose actions bring instability in the region. In particular, an influential Islamist group Ahrar al-Sham is calling for the unification, reports Reuters.

The statement urges to unite to confront the "Russian-Iranian alliance that has occupied Syrian territory." 41 group of rebels, members of the Free Syrian Army, have put their signatures on it.

Al-Nusra Front, the Syrian wing of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group, has not signed the statement, albeit part of the coalition, but it has announced hunt for Russian soldiers in Syria.

The statement does not specify exactly which states should join the Alliance, although Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar shored up the rebel army in their fight against the current regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
