The 31st hearing into the case of the Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz has begun today at 9:30 am, the defendant's lawyer Nikolai Polozov told a QHA correspondent.

“He (Ahtem Chiygoz -. Ed.) cannot attend the court hearing due to discriminatory provisions on the remote participation of the defendant in the 1st instance process,” said Polozov.

The lawyer informs during the trial:

15:53 - Ahtem Chiygoz challenged the prosecutor Supryaga based on personal bias and indirect interest in the outcome of the case.

15:45 - The interrogation of the witness Mammadov was suddenly interrupted. Without explanation the judges retired to the deliberation room.

14:38 - The second prosecution witness today is Mammadov Kamil Mazahir oglu, an employee of MIA of Ukraine in 2014, and now - an employee of the RF Interior Ministry.

14:35 - The judges in the case of Chiygoz refused to make a particular decision about the actions of witness Komov to be sent to the Investigative Committee at the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation.

14:28 – Video communication restored. The defense filed a petition for making a particular decision in connection with the testimony of a witness Komov under Part 4 of Article 29 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.

14:05 - Trial of Chiygoz resumed. Videoconference failed again, court session adjourned for 10 minutes.

12:40 - Interrogation of witnesses Komov completed, court session adjourned until 14:00.

11:40 – The hearing in the case of Chiygoz continues in another room, as videoconference was not restored in the main session hall.

11:30 – The court set a schedule of hearings for November. The process will go more intensively: four days a week instead of three.

10:37 - Interrogation of the witness Komov interrupted. Video conference failed, court session adjourned for 10 minutes.

9:58 – The judges refused to remove the judge Kozyrev. The questioning of the witness Komov is continuing.

9:44 - Judges Zinkov and Kryuchkov, leaving the judge Kozyrev, retired to the deliberation room to decide on the disqualification of their colleague.

9:42 - Before the questioning of the witness the court considers the disqualification of judge Kozyrev proposed yesterday by Ahtem Chiygoz.

9:40 - The first prosecution witness today is Petr A. Komov, a member of the "people's militia", 3rd company.

Yesterday, Oct. 24, at the trial of the Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz, it turned out that two "witnesses" did not see the accused during the events of February 26, 2014.

September 21, the "Chiygoz case" took another twist following the evidence given by Vladimir Leontiev, the spouse of V.D. Koreneva, deceased at the rally on February 26, 2014. He said he does not blame Ahtem Chiygoz for the death of his wife.

The Crimean "authorities" decided to consider the case of the Deputy Chairman of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis Ahtem Chiygoz separate from the so-called "February 26 case."
