KYIV (QHA) - Ukraine plans to intensify bilateral cooperation with Thailand. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has announced this during a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, General Prayut Chan-O-Cha.
"We would like to see your government to address the issue of enhancing our bilateral relations. Their development will undoubtedly contribute to signing an intergovernmental agreement," the head of government said, according to Ukrinform.
Azarov said that a relevant draft agreement has already been prepared, and all the negotiations were completed in the first half of 2011.
He called on the Thai side to accelerate the signing of this document.
The parties noted that, in particular, cooperation in agriculture is extremely promising.
The premier recalled that bilateral relations started to develop more dynamically after opening the Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Ukraine.
Prayut Chan-O-Cha, in turn, assured that he would inform the Thai Prime Minister on the proposals of the Ukrainian side.
