Ilmi Umerov and Akhtem Chiygoz, Deputy Chairmen of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people urged European countries to strengthen the political and economic pressure on Russia.
Ilmi Umerov expressed the corresponding idea on his Facebook page, commenting on the meeting of representatives of 15 European member states of the OSCE with the Deputy Heads of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in Vienna.
“We informed about the situation in the Russian-occupied territory of Ukrainian Crimea. We also informed on the situation with human rights and freedoms, as well as on the need to strengthen political and economic pressure on the aggressor country. Also, we stated on the struggle for the territorial integrity of Ukraine. All participants in this meeting expressed their support for Ukraine and stressed its readiness to use all opportunities for the liberation of the Crimea and restoring the integrity of Ukraine,” Umerov wrote.
Reportedly, Pavlo Klimkin, MFA of Ukraine and Sergey Lavrov discussed the exchange of hostages at the OSCE Ministerial Meeting in Vienna.
