The court session on the case of the Deputy Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Ahtem Chiygoz is held today, September 28. The defendant cannot attend it due to discriminatory provisions on the remote participation in the 1st instance process. The lawyer Nikolai Polozov informed that during the interrogation of another "victim" Oleg Mokshin, Chief of staff of the "people's militia", an interesting detail was revealed.
“It turned out that the victim Mokshin is a former political instructor in the construction battalion. He studied in an academy together with Aksenov and Sheremet,” Polozov wrote on Twitter.
Moreover, the "victim" Mokshin said that on February 26, 2014, the day of the rally near the Supreme Council of Crimea, he and the other militias prevented the "attempt" to Vladimir Konstantinov, currently occupying the post of "speaker" of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.
“The victim Mokshin said that an attempt on Konstantinov’s life was plotted, and it was possible to prevent only due to his and other protesters’ actions,” the lawyer told.
According Polozov, the evidence can be regarded as the consciousness of a crime, but the judge refused to submit Mokshin’s statements to the record.
