The White House decided to review sanctions imposed gainst the Russian Federation by the Barack Obama administration, but the current Donald Trump’s administration has no definite position whether to support them, Director of the National Economic Council in President Donald Trump’s administration Gary Cohn reported on May 25.

When European leaders at the NATO summit in Brussels asked the US President whether he planned to extend sanctions, imposed in 2014 primarily over the illegal annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea by Russia, he replied that he had not decided what to do, according to Trump's counselor for economic affairs.

“I think that the President is considering this. Now we do not have a position”, Cohn said.
