June 6 at the third Livadia forum, the self-proclaimed Head of the Crimean government Sergei Aksyonov said that Russia "should facilitate the procedure for granting citizenship as much as possible" to the residents of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR".
“It would be correct and appropriate to grant a full migration amnesty for them [residents of illegal DPR and LPR - Ed.], and to develop an additional list of preferences ... This has not happened yet. From a million, only one tenth has received citizenship. I believe that this situation is in contradiction with the civilizational interests of Russia and the "Russian world," Sergei Aksyonov said.
Representatives of the Russian government have not yet expressed their views on this issue.
Earlier, in late March this year, Moscow claimed that citizens, who received "passports" of illegal terrorist groups "DPR" and "LPR", will follow the same migration rules in Russia just as citizens of Ukraine.
