The investigation into the case of Andrei Kolomiets, born in 1993 and accused of the 'attempted murder' of 'Berkut' officers during the events on the Independence Square in Kyiv in 2014, was completed, press service of the Russian Prosecutor's Office in Crimea reports.
"According to investigators, Kolomiets, being a member of an extremist organization 'Ukrainian Insurgent Army' (not registered in Ukraine officially - Ed.), committed an 'attempted murder' of two officers from 'Berkut' Crimean special forces throwing firebombs during the riots in Kyiv in January 2014. He also stored and transported drug crops on a large scale," says the report.
The criminal case was sent to the Kiev District Court of Simferopol for consideration on the merits.
