The self-proclaimed local government in the occupied Crimea congratulated the residents of Sevastopol with "patriotic" banners.

As evidenced by the photos actively distributed by social networks’ users, the flag of Russia on these banners is turned upside down, and on the contour map of Russia the occupied Crimea is completely absent.

"June 12. Day of Russia." Reads the banner.

Reference: in March 2014, Russia annexed the Ukrainian Crimea by introducing its troops and conducting an illegal referendum. March 18, the so-called agreement on the adoption of the Crimea and Sevastopol into Russia was signed in the Kremlin. The countries of the West and international organizations did not recognize the annexation of the Crimea and imposed a series of economic sanctions against Russia.
