In the occupied Crimea, the so-called "Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea" on Friday, July 7, extended the arrest of the figurants of the Bakhchisaray "Hizb ut-Tahrir case" Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov for another two months, the Center for Journalistic Investigations reports.
According to the decision of the "court", Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov will remain in custody until September 12, 2017.
According to the message of lawyer Emil Kurbedinov on Facebook, the court session held to consider the matter was closed.
“The extension of the arrest of the Bakhchysarai four accused in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case is also significant because the audience is not allowed even to the court building, what to say about the courtroom. Decisions of courts are also announced in closed format in violation of the law.”
Earlier, meetings of the Kremlin-controlled Supreme Court of the Crimea on May 5, where the extension of the arrest of the figurants of the Bakhchysarai "Hizb ut-Tahrir case" was considered, were held with violations.
Previously, on May 12, 2016 in the cafe "Salachik" in Bakhchysarai a mass search was conducted. As a result, Zevri Abseitov, Remzi Memetov, Rustem Abiltarov and Enver Mamutov were detained.
